Title: Back to You (Follow up to Two of a Kind)
Pairing/Characters: Ian Edgerton/Nikki Betancourt

Summary: She only needed one.
Spoilers: 5.01 - High Exposure; and because the idea for this came from the 2 seconds we saw Nikki in the preview for this week's epi, I'll say 5.02 - Decoy Effect.
Notes/Warnings: My apologies for the title. I've listened to WAY too much John Mayer lately. I don't really know what happens in 5.02 Decoy Effect but the preview inspired this drabble so I wanted to post it before the episode changed every thing. haha. Also, this looks like it may become a series. I'm talking to the muse about it. We'll see how it goes. Enjoy.

Held captive, his arm tightened around her throat - his 9mm at her back. He walked her to the window, keeping himself from the FBI agents outside.
She knew she could break free. She only needed him to falter once.
Curiosity won. He moved his head into the window. Hesitating.
All she heard was bullet puncturing glass. The arm around her neck tightened, his body stiffening, his last breath escaping him. Releasing her, he crumpled to the floor.
Shot between the eyes.
Three men in the world could make that shot.
She only needed one.
Ian was back in town.
